I was recommended to this place by NSA RV, the company that sells tow plates but doesn’t install them. Jerry the owner here destroyed the wiring in my RV. he put in a type of system on the car that is not compatible with any other market pigtail. He said he would come to my house to fix the wiring issues. Would randomly show up, say he was going yo show and didn’t. Used crazy excuses for why. His employee swore and called me names, saying he didn’t get paid enough to deal with me and hung up. Insisted I needed new tail light covers. ( installed one upside down)cut wires and just covered with plastic ends( see pics) this doesn’t prevent rainwater or splashing puddles from shorting out the entire system. My running lights no longer work. As a result the wires fell down while I was driving and rubbed against one of my inside dully tires, shredding it. This could’ve potentially been a severe accident. Do not use this company. They don’t know what they’re doing. I paid someone else $750 to correct this crazy company’s work

i’d been shopping around for places to install a hitch and bike rack on my 2020 equinox awd. this place was the second one i reached out to. i spoke with Jerry back on 4/27 and he let me know that they price match and could install the rack at no additional price. he was really a lovely guy, he was patient and helpful with all my questions. i ended up scheduling with them for this past monday 5/11 for the afternoon. fast forward to sunday, i start feeling sick (sore throat) after having come back from a trip down south. i was hoping it was just my body needing to adjust to the weather change, but i woke up monday feeling horrible. i called the shop to let them know that i’d need to cancel my appt due to being sick, and i’d reach back out at a later time to reschedule (i have a busy schedule and wasn’t in a condition to coordinate). the guy that answered the phone seemed annoyed that i couldn’t tell him then and there when i’d be rescheduling. as he was hanging up, he didn’t say “i hope you feel better,” “we look forward to hearing from you,” “get some rest,” nothing… it was the total lack of empathy that turned me off. who wants to spend their money with someone that doesn’t give

I contacted Convenient Tire & Hitch in December 2024 for a hitch on my BMW x6. They requested a deposit of $1,417.00. That amount was charged to my credit card on 12/13/2024. I ended up getting into a car accident and contacted them that I no longer didn't need the hitch, and they said that a refund check would be mailed out. Multiple times I was told a check was being mailed. I have been speaking with the store manager who has been very helpful, but he said the owner is in charge of all the finances. The manager has told me the message is being relayed to the owner, however the owner has not contacted me or mailed a check. I have been asking for my refund for over a year now.

So I started this out when I got my hitch installed writing a bad review because the price and time it was supposed to be done wasn't what I was told. I took it down and give them a chance to make it right, well they did kinda on the price, but they told me they took time because it was important that they do it right on the install, ok that all sounds good and important. Well after I picked up my truck it was a few days latter that the importance to them of the install became evident. They pull some wires out of my frame to put U clamps to hold my rail brackets for my fifth wheel hitch to the frame, and while doing so the U bolt went over top of the wires and pinched them against the truck frame they also never put the wires back into the frame where they pulled them out from or they would have saw the screw up they made by pinching the wires! I sent an email to them about this and never got a response or an offer to fix the problem! So I'm thinking I will have to do it myself. This is just a word of caution to those who want thier hitch installed think about where you go and check the work yourself after it's done! And it gets worse!! I searched all over Michigan, and only this shop offered a reasonable price. Many other similar shops in Michigan were unwilling to provide wiring installation services for a Mercedes-Benz, but this shop was very willing to help me. They provided professional and friendly service. Although there was an issue with the wiring after the first installation, they were very proactive and quick in resolving the problem. I believe they are the best trailer hitch installation shop in Michigan. You can confidently entrust your vehicle to them for installation. I highly appreciate their excellent service!
